acid has destroyed the exhaust pipe.can it harm the masonry.What must be done to correct the problem?

How do you heat up the boiler? if you use gas, acid is the emission from the reaction, you can use steel pipe. I was obliged to change the pipe with a steel one when I applied for a gas service
