sure it must be efficient,but nothing like the more recent models that are 80-95pct efficient….yours is probably 20pct efficient and you are undoubtedly wasting a small fortune….
It is almost certain to be less than 70% efficient at that age. Modern condensing boilers achieve over 90% efficiencies.

Do your old boiler a favoUr….retire it, give it to the local museum or scrap merchant. Before you fit a new boiler, have your system cleaned and flushed. I believe you may be able to get a grant/subsidy to replace this antiquity.
