sedbuk

It was manufactured by Hartford-Unical
I live in a 4 bedroom house with 2 flat roof extensions, but 2000 litres of oil lasts over a year I think that is quite efficient. I have been told that have a life of 5 years, after which they need expensive maintenance.

sure it must be efficient, but nothing like the more recent models that are 80-95pct efficient….yours is probably 20pct efficient and you are undoubtedly wasting a small fortune….

  • Malia Bancroft says:

It is almost certain to be less than 70% efficient at that age. Modern condensing boilers achieve over 90% efficiencies.

  • Kristian Austin says:

No,it means that the list was compiled by people who have never heard, cant remember or find any listings from that far back in time.

Do your old boiler a favoUr….retire it, give it to the local museum or scrap merchant. Before you fit a new boiler, have your system cleaned and flushed. I believe you may be able to get a grant/subsidy to replace this antiquity.
